We offer you some useful tips that you can turn into a daily routine to keep your skin healthy, clean, and free from acne and inflammation.

Cleanse your face in the morning and evening, as well as after physical activity and sweating

The most important step of any skincare routine is cleansing in the morning. Although it may feel like your skin is still fresh from the night before, it actually sheds dead skin cells and produces sebum overnight, which needs to be removed before continuing with your daily skincare routine.

Apply a serum that contains anti-inflammatory ingredients

It is a widely held belief that oily skin should completely avoid products containing oils. In fact, there are great natural oils with anti-inflammatory and healing effects on the epidermis, which can also prevent the onset of acne and other problems. Often, excessive sebum secretion and consequent acne are caused by the drying effects of aggressive anti-acne products, which compromise the skin’s natural protective functions.

Choose the products you use carefully

Acne is one of the most widespread skin problems, especially among younger women. For this reason, products with labels like “SOS STOP ACNE” or “ANTI-SPOTS” are everywhere. However, many of these products can cause more harm than good. As mentioned above, they often dry out the skin excessively, disrupting the natural protective functions of the epidermis. This over-drying can lead to increased sebum production, resulting in oilier skin and more acne—the very problem we are trying to solve

Apply a moisturizer that’s right for your skin

It is a misconception that oily skin does not need hydration. Proper cleansing, toning, and moisturizing help rebalance the skin, prevent oiliness, and reduce acne breakouts.

Avoid consuming white sugar and highly processed foods

Skin health starts from the inside out. White sugar and processed foods can lead to various health problems, including skin inflammation and acne. Focus on fresh, home-cooked meals, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and natural sweeteners in reasonable amounts. Additionally, aim to drink at least 2 liters of water daily.

    Use eye cream

Dermatologists recommend using eye cream at least every night, and twice a day for even better results, starting in your 20s. Regular use of eye cream helps maintain eyelid elasticity and can prevent or reduce fine lines and collagen loss over time.

    Apply sunscreen

Many people think skin protection is unnecessary if they are not directly exposed to sunlight. However, even in urban environments, your skin can get burned. The face, hands, and other exposed areas of the body are especially vulnerable. It’s crucial to use the right sunscreen to protect your skin.

The sun emits two types of rays: UVA and UVB. UVA rays are longer-lasting, cause skin darkening, and contribute to wrinkles and other signs of aging. UVB rays, on the other hand, are shorter but cause burning and, in some cases, skin cancer.

By following these steps consistently, you can maintain healthy, radiant skin free from acne and inflammation.
