    We would like to introduce you to the benefits of alkaline food intake. Most health problems are caused by improper nutrition, which introduces imbalance in the body. This balance can be restored if we improve the alkaline-acid balance in our body. There has been a lot of talk recently about the benefits of alkaline food. It is mostly vegetarian, emphasizing the consumption of vegetables and some types of fruits. 

    What is pH? – definition, alkaline foods

    The human body maintains a constant blood and extracellular fluid pH of 7.4. This pH is considered neutral with very slight alkalinity (7 is neutral pH, below 7 is acidic, above 7 is alkaline).

    Foods that shift pH values to an alkaline environment are called alkaline foods. And those that decrease the pH value in our body are called acidic.

    How do we know that there is high acidity in our body?

    High acidity in our body is often expressed through these symptoms, in which case it is a good idea to add more alkaline foods to your daily menu:

    • morning fatigue
    • migraines
    • difficulty concentrating
    • irritability and distractibility
    • greasy hair and skin
    • sweating profusely on light exertion
    • bad breath and coated tongue early in the morning
    • indigestion
    • restless sleep
    • body and muscle aches

    How to stimulate alkalinity in the body 

    • consumption of more green vegetables (cucumbers, spinach, broccoli, lettuce, radishes);
    • intake of water with lemon;
    • bi-weekly cleansing twice a year with fresh fruit, vegetables and vegetable juices.
